Hey everybody, it’s me again. The elusive Lyz. Don’t worry, I’ll be back here full force coming soon. But in the meantime, WordPress has decided out of nowhere that I am trash and has been tossing all of my comments to you all into your spam folders. That’s according to a couple of bloggers who have checked for my missing comments.
May you all please check your spam and tell WordPress that I’m a valuable member of the blogging community. Thank you so much. I miss you all. I’ll talk to you soon. (Though I have been talking to myself on your blogs).
Don’t we all just love how computers decide whether we should exist or not? This is the world we’ve created!
Of course, I’m being dramatic, but I’d also hate for you all to think that I don’t want to support you as you’ve supported me.
It’s Saturday morning in my neck of the woods and my goal is to get some projects done around the house. I’m still needing to paint my kitchen. As many of you know, I’m a huge fan of color.
This is just a piece of my living room and the only white walls in it. But I’m considering doing something way out of my comfort zone in my kitchen: painting it all white!
I’ve got tons of color in there with my accessories, so I’m thinking to brighten the place up with white walls. To be honest, I’m scared! White is intimidating to me. It’s so domineering and too me, doesn’t really reflect any emotion, which makes it feel alien and unfeeling.

The walls are dingy with tons of kids having run about. Also, with all of my color, white may be the best bet for bringing everything together.
This wall got a coat of white already, and everything else will too. I can’t wait to show you all. I’ve been meaning to publish these videos on YouTube of my whole renovation and decorating process, but I’m so bad at setting aside time to edit the videos.
It’s something I’d like to eventually do, so for now I’m just recording and dabbling.
Besides decorating, if I could do something garden-related and writing-related this weekend, I’ll be very satisfied.
What’s everyone else’s plans for the weekend?
Welcome back, Lyz. Been a few days since your last post, life’s gotten in the way huh? lol. I’ve been busy myself too! But also, laziness has struck a little bit.

Thanks for the welcome, Willia. I totally need to get back on track. My house is just looking crazy and I’m trying to power through some projects. We’ve all had our lazy periods that’s for sure. It’s good to hear from you.

Good to see that you have a few more projects in store for us. Me too, need to keep up with a lot on here, it’s been a while since I stayed on wordpress for some down time reading lol.

Yeah, there’s so much good stuff to read. Life! I’m trying to find a better system for managing my time. And girl, I have so many projects. It’s crazy. I live for projects; I just don’t know when I stop, lol.

The only thing in my Spam was 32 links to buying Viagra in Canada. Question! Did you do the green and pink antler canvas? I love that! And where did you find that chair on the right? I have been looking for one just like that!

I think it’s been mostly the past week. I’ve been told by a friend that all those Viagra ads means you’ve been surfing too much porn online. 😂 I painted the antler canvas, yes. Both chairs I found at thrift stores. I painted them and changed the fabric. The turquoise one is a really fine corduroy I got at the fabric store. I used spray paint for a quick and smooth finish. High gloss white with primer.

That is hilarious! You painted that? I love it!! You do great work!

Thanks darling! You can do it too. Go find yourself a cheap old chair, some spray paint and a staple gun. 🤗

You are so brave! I’d be terrified of a white kitchen and the never ending mess possibilities. Good speed my friend. Lol

Thankfully the stove is on a center island so no food slashes will hit any walls. But yeahhhhh, I haven’t spent too much time considering cleaning it, lol. 🤣😭

Gorgeous my love! Guess what, we share the same kind of sensibility in decor. I love colourful pieces and I have a huge collection of metal tin signs too. White would work fabulously as a backdrop to your pretty ornaments. Show us more? And I just went and checked my spam folder and released the legit few that were stuck there. Indeed so annoying! A fist in wp’s intangible face. xx

A fist indeed! I’ll definitely show more 😊 I’ll do some before and afters as well. I’m so happy to know that we have the same sensibility in design!! We can share cool stuff on Instagram 😘

Haha. I shall do too. A few more things have got to go up. Psst: I am not a minimalist! xx

So exciting! A whispered “I’m not a minimalist.” I’m giddy

I also found some of your comments in spam. It’s annoying when that happens. Your place is looking great! I love all the personal touches, it makes me want my own place all the more 😀

I’m glad you found me buried in trash. That’s for the compliment, Angela. It’s a total work in progress, but it’s lots of fun. I know you’ll come up with some really cool ideas and design when you get your place. In the meantime, use your white walls as a canvas. I’m my last place, the condo I rented, I couldn’t paint the walls so I bought canvas and painted colorful random stuff and added cool accessories everywhere

That’s a pretty cool idea! Our place is very small though, I don’t know where I could paint. 🤔

Just buy a drop cloth from a craft or home improvement store and lay it on your floor. Then you can put your blank canvases down and paint away in your living room. That’s what I used to do since I had no outdoor space
