Rooms to Love: Best of Wallpaper

While Feminine Hipster is how I’d define my taste in interior design, I do appreciate many styles. There’s just so much beauty in the world that I find it terribly difficult, and unnecessary, to settle on one.

My Instagram feed is full of beautifully wallpapered rooms which I love and haven’t found the courage to do myself. But if you’re anything like me, that won’t stop you from wanting to suck in an eyeful of the good stuff. Here’s a collection of some of my favorites. I’m partially trying to inspire myself to take a leap. Have you ever wallpapered a room, or would you consider it?

I would see no reason to ever leave my room. She probably does though. Probably spends plenty of quality time with her friends and bakes them stuff.

Who does this and makes it work? Something to admire.

I’ll just wait for you to notice the gorgeous doorknob. As if this wallpaper and perfect shade of blue needed anything else to recommend it.

I get the sense that the coolest woman I know would be living here.

This room makes me feel like I’ve measured out my life with coffee spoons.

If I walked into a man’s bathroom, and it looked like this… I’d probably be eloped within the week.

A beautiful Englishman lives here. He wears soft cardigans and smells of something deep and woodsy. He is so fine, y’all.

Unabashedly feminine, soft and glamourous, subtle and striking. You know who lives here? One of those women who always smells like a million bucks. I bet her hair is super shiny.

Let’s just say she went through a rough breakup, and instead of cutting her hair off like we love to do, she went out and redid her bathroom.

This guy was a total dork in high school. He found his groove in college, and now he’s a successful actor. Look at him now.

You guessed it, she’s splashed a glass of water in someone’s face before. She can create the perfect cat eye while eating a sandwich. She’ll have the whiskey sour.

She’s definitely writing a novel. It’s modern and witty and unexpected. I want desperately to be friends with her.

Moroccan tea, dinner parties, neat stacks of books, velvet slippers, riding camels through the desert. Sucking the marrow out of life.

Ever since my first post like this one, I’ve found that I really enjoy adding characters to interior spaces. It combines my love of literature with my love of design. What do you think?
