Hey there. You’re obviously wondering who I am and why I write. Here goes the short and sweet of it.

My name is Lyz-Stephanie and I’m on a journey to inspire women (myself included) to be more connected with ourselves and the natural world, to find beauty in simple pleasures, and to live more interesting, adventurous and passionate lives.

Why? Because I’ve been there. I’ve talked about my passions and did nothing about them; I let my talents waste away; I stayed in environments that didn’t help me grow; I let fear stop me. I fell hard into womanhood. Thankfully I have a sense of humor.

Maybe you bought what they told you to buy; you got the job they told you to get. And who you are and what you love have taken a backseat to the daily grind. Maybe you aren’t young and wild and free of children and a mortgage, but you’d love to feel more alive, more connected. You’re ready to step out of the fog. You just need some encouragement, inspiration, practical ideas and advice to move you along. We all do.

We can all be the woman that we admire. All around us are lessons to show us the way. I seek them out and share them here in Modern-Day Fables which are always insightful, often hilarious.

I believe in the power of beauty and nature (Add More Beauty) taking chances (Try More) and expanding our minds (Know More). I’m shaking up my life and moving always toward my dreams, and I’d love to inspire you to do the same.
