Outfit Post: White Corduroys & Tee

It ain’t often that you’ll find me wearing white pants. Most of the white pants I’ve tried on throughout my life have been completely see-through. Is it just me, or is there a shortage of non-see-through white pants out there? Thankfully, these cozy, stretchy Old Navy corduroy pants don’t have that problem.

I love a good pair of blue jeans, but I think it’s nice every so often to mix up our staple garments. Case in point: switch out jeans for corduroy.

I like that this tee-shirt has some cool little details on it that make it stand out. And the cutout sleeves add a dash of sex appeal to an otherwise suburban look. You know I like that sort of thing.

Taking a casual outfit and pairing it with a nice pair of heels can really raise the dress up factor. Or I could easily throw on a pair of Chucks and keep everything else the same to completely change this look. I should have brought a pair with me to show both ways of styling this look, but I’m not enough of a pro at fashion blogging to think of these ideas before the actual photos are taken.

Those of you who know me know that I almost never remember to wear accessories. It drives my mother crazy more than it does me, but one thing I’m almost always found wearing anklets. I purchased this one in Thailand last year and I love it just as much as when I got it.

Pants: The Gap

Shoes: Jessica Simpson (She makes the most comfortable pumps I’ve worn outside of Christian Louboutin. Yeah, I own more of her than him).

Shirt: Some place no one cares about.

What do you think? Would you wear more white pants if they weren’t mostly see-through? Do you wear them anyway, lol? What do you think about cutout sleeves and a bit of skin peeking out?

  3. So cute! I’ve found that the only white pants that aren’t see through are the higher priced ones. I bought a pair (I think Apt. 9) and paid regular price (only because I had a gift card) and they hide what’s underneath fairly well. BTW you’re hot! 😉

    1. That sounds about right. Classy, rich women aren’t out here flashing striped panties through white pants. It’s good to know a brand that won’t leave us assed out, lol. I think it’s such a good lesson that when we have a gift card to go out and buy the quality stuff we normally wouldn’t get. And btw, thank you so much for the compliment! xoxo

    1. Aw, you know I always wanted them as a kid. They were super popular but we didn’t do much shopping for popular stuff. Now I have them in white, hot pink and like a pumpkin orange. Childhood dreams can come true 😄

    1. Thanks for the feedback, Cindy! Yes, I thought about that, lol. I liked the lightness of the photos with so much white, but you’re right, it also blends into my legs. One of those rock and a hard place scenarios. I do love the location and will probably go back with something non white next time 😀 I do enjoy having legs! Lol.

  12. This is such a good look on you! I love the monochromatic theme, and then the blue shoes! It adds such a nice pop 😀 I’m not a fan of white pants, white skirts I’m okay with though. I just don’t find white to be a flattering colour on me 🤔

    1. I’m so ridiculously behind on comments. Sorry hon. I don’t do much monochromatic but I do want to try it out more. I think you can pull off white pants with a colored sweater. Something soft and pretty. 💜

  14. You look great! But man, I wish see-through was the only problem with white pants. I used to be able to wear white or cream-colored pants. Then kids. White just doesn’t look so nice with shoe prints, boogers, and cheeto smears. 😛
